Deborah Robinson is an artist who collaborates with scientists, technicians, and artists to make experimental video and sound installations. She currently has an Arts Council England award to support a digital artwork made with researchers on the malaria programme at the Sanger Institute, Cambridge. As a lecturer in Fine Art at University of Plymouth she is involved in a longterm collaboration with colleagues in the Marine Biology and Ecology Research Centre - artwork from this is currently exhibited in her solo show 'Transpositions' at Peninsula Arts Gallery. Deborah is also working with scientists at the Institute of Biology, Leiden on a project that uses artistic response to explore biological categorisation and the use of specimens and models in theories of evolutionary development.
