Deborah Robinson is an artist who collaborates with scientists, technicians, and artists to make experimental video and sound installations. She is currently has a 'Bright Ideas' fellowship at the ESRC Genomics Forum, Edinburgh, to support development of a digital artwork made in collaboration with researchers on the malaria programme at the Sanger Institute, Cambridge. She is Associate Professor (Reader) in Contemporary Art Practice, University of Plymouth where she is involved in a longterm collaboration with colleagues in the Marine Biology and Ecology Research Centre - artwork from this project was recently exhibited in the solo show 'Transpositions'. Deborah is also working with scientists at the Institute of Biology, Leiden, on a project that uses artistic response to explore biological categorisation and the use of specimens and models in theories of evolutionary development.
